The Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong to celebrate Jubilee 2025 and the 80th Anniversary of the Diocese, has established the “Preparatory Committee for the Celebration of the Ordinary Jubilee 2025 and of the 80th Anniversary of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong”, which coordinates various diocesan bureaux and communities to organize diocesan formation and activities, and to reach out to the community, to walk with the disadvantaged groups in our society, to bring them hope and continue the spirit of the Diocese of Hong Kong, to stand shoulder to shoulder with the society after the end of the Jubilee 2025 by celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Diocese of Hong Kong in 2026.

The theme of the celebration for both 2025 & 2026 is "Pilgrims of Hope".

The 8 special Areas of Concern of the Diocese

In response to the recommendations of the Bull of Indiction, the Hong Kong Diocese has established 8 special areas of concern. Let us pray specifically for our brothers and sisters, for the creation we live on, and cry out for the Lord’s mercy, while also taking practical actions to care for them.

1.The elderly (the sick, those living alone, the poor)
2.Prisoners and those in recovery
3.Children and families
4.Youth
5.Hospitalized patients, healthcare workers, caregivers, individuals with mental illness, and those in mental health recovery
6.Creation
7.Immigrants and refugees
8.The poor
